The caregivers assigned to my mother had the upmost concern for her well-being. They provided excellent daily care and showed her whatever her needs might be that they were there for her. She felt their compassion, and it made her comfortable to be with them in her home. Watching and listening to them work along side my mother gave me reassurance that she was being well taken care of.

As with any staffing, some personalities mixed better with me than others. Home Instead never made me feel like I was creating problems for them or imposing on them when I would request a different caregiver —they just fixed the staffing situation.
Their desire to make sure that they have the right caregiver there is why I go back to them. They are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. My elderly mother has been a client for HomeInstead day services for one year. Her caregiver assists with meal prep, showers, exercises, & companionship—which allows me time to run errands and other activities. Since mid-Oct, HomeInstead has provided overnight care to allow me to get more sleep since my mother has been diagnosed with dementia.
